2026 Events and News

 October 25, 2026 – Shedd Park Pavilion, Lowell, MA

I will be speaking at a fundraiser hosted by Lowell Loves Wildlife and Save Chelmsford Wildlife, two community groups who are working hard on conservation concerns. I’ll be featured along with wildlife rehabilitation JoAnne Byrnes of Wildlife Warriors, and her extra special guests . . . Coco, a red-tailed hawk, and Odin, a barn owl!

This family-friendly event runs from 10 am to 2 pm and includes fun activities, raffles, and a silent auction, all to benefit advocacy work for local wildlife neighbors. My talk will be from 11:30-12:15. I’ll share a bit about why I wrote the Backyard Rangers books, the research I did on owls for the book, and why I care so much about protecting them.

The Owl Prowl Mystery will be available for sale, thanks to lala books! I will be donating a portion of proceeds of all sales from the event to these two wildlife organizations.
